Environmental / Industrial Hygiene Professional

Our firm is looking for a Mid-Level Environmental/Industrial Hygiene Professional to join our Environmental Division Team. Under the supervision of our Lead Environmental Professional, the Mid-Level Environmental/Industrial Hygiene Professional will assist in collecting samples, managing waste operations, assisting with regulatory compliance and other duties as needed.

Basic Requirements
• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental, Earth Sciences or Engineering disciplines
• 5+ years’ experience within the environmental consulting field
• Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record
• Ability to pass a government background check and drug screen
Technical Requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good organization skills and the ability to multi-task multiple assignments
• Perform fieldwork and have good working knowledge of various TCEQ environmental sampling protocols
• Asbestos and/or Lead inspection licensed by the TDSHS
• Perform Phase I/II ESAs and related IH inspection services under the direct supervision of the Department Manager
• Produce technical reports and proposals
• Manage project budgets that are assigned
• Effectively communicate to fellow ATEI staff, clients, contractors, or service vendors
• Follow ATEI Employee Manual and Safety requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the principal duties and responsibilities of the Environmental/Industrial Hygiene (IH) position.
• Conducting fieldwork in multiple ambient conditions in Texas and throughout the United States
• Walk, stand, crawl, kneel, climb, and perform repeated bending as needed when executing field work
• Distinguish colors and shades of color for sample identification and analysis
• Lift objects (45+ lbs.), tools and equipment
